End of Year SMARTR Outcome

By the end of the 2016-2017 school year:

Increase the number of students who are proficient in reading as evidenced by increased SOL pass rates in reading to at least 82% or higher.

Strategy 1 - Incorporate literacy and thinking skills across all curriculum areas.

Strategy 2 - Utilize a differentiated approach in Language Arts instruction.

Strategy 3 - Incorporate daily learning targets and assessment criteria in all classrooms.

 

By the end of the 2016-2017 school year:

Increase the number of students who are proficient in mathematics as evidenced by increased SOL pass rates in mathematics to at least 85% or higher.

Strategy 1 - Incorporate Math Workshop across all grade levels.

Strategy 2 - Incorporate daily learning targets and assessment criteria in all classrooms.

 

By the end of the 2016-2017 school year:

Increase the number of students who are proficient in science as evidenced by increased SOL pass rates in science to at least 82% or higher.

Strategy 1 - Increase science pass rates through a differentiated and rigorous approach in Science instruction.

Strategy 2 - Incorporate daily learning targets and assessment criteria in all classrooms.
